Welcome to Ait Chribou Ecovillage

Four hours by car from Marrakech, deep in the Moroccan countryside, lies a peaceful and stunningly beautiful place – the Ait Chribou Ecovillage.
Here, everything is built using natural and recycled materials. The Smurf-like houses are truly unique – they’re called eco-domes, and that’s where you, as our guest, will stay.
Your own eco-dome
As a guest, you stay in your very own eco-dome.
These unique structures are hand-built by local craftsmen and made primarily from clay and lime.

When you step into your own eco-dome, you’re greeted by softly curved walls that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Your eco-dome is made up of three connected domes: an entrance, a bedroom, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet.
It features a comfortable twin double bed and space to hang clothes and store your bags.

All rooms are round, or dome-shaped, with the largest dome measuring 4.5 meters in diameter and about 4.2 meters in height. The walls are 60 cm thick, providing excellent insulation against both cold and heat.

In addition to the dome, you also have a private, sun-shaded outdoor patio with a table and chairs.

Restaurant & bar
At the top of the ecovillage lies our cozy restaurant, where we serve a carefully curated set menu.

The food we serve is a mix of Moroccan and European cuisine. We grow what we can and, above all, source our ingredients locally.
There are both large and small tables, depending on whether you prefer privacy or company. You can choose to sit indoors or outdoors.

You’re always welcome to order coffee, tea, juice, wine, beer, or other beverages. Fruit and snacks are also available.

Berber lounge
Here, you can sit back and enjoy the evening calm with a warm cup of tea or a refreshing drink. This relaxed corner is perfect for peace and recovery after the day’s adventures.

This is where we often gather to share experiences and conversations, or to discuss and plan the next day’s excursions. It’s an ideal place to connect with other guests and exchange stories and tips about local attractions.
